Old friends start as new friends. Here are some of my new friends who I look forward to calling my old friends.
Podcasts
Tom hosts the Tom Woods Show podcast. You can find it on iTunes or Stitcher. He’s a provocative thinker and pursuassive debater and a compelling author. Your investment of time will be greatly rewarded.
Tom also co-hosts a second podcast with Bob Murphy called Contra Krugman. Bob is an economist and has a memory like a steal trap which is bad for Krugman. In addition to being a spot Austrian economist, he’s very funny and does a spot-on Beavis and Butthead.
Daniel and Robert operate the blog ActualAnarchy devoted to reviewing movies with a Rothbardian and anarcho-capitalist perspective. In addition to being informative and funny, they are a wealth of libertarian and Austrian economic knowledge. Daniel has at his fingertips troves of information about Murray Rothbard so for that alone, they are a good resource. Go for the review, stay for the education.

Mike Tilden operates a podcast, The Battle for Liberty which is indispensable to learning about libertarianism. Mike discusses issues not commonly considered outside of libertarain thinking, but which are part and parcel to thinking as a libertarian. My own struggle, which I still chew on a bit, so to speak, is Intellectual Property and how there isn’t any. Episode 36.
Brion McClanahan hosts two shows, The Brion McClanahan Show and the Abbeville Institute podcast, has several books in print, including the Politically Incorrect Guide to the Founding Fathers

Free Man Beyond The Wall is the podcast of Mance Rayder, author of Freedom Through Memedom – The 31-day Guide to Waking Up to Liberty and The Kids are Not Alright – A Meme Inspired Primer on Encroaching Marxism in the West. Mance’s speaks about economics and liberty as a normal Joe, which means I can understand what he’s saying.

Dissident Mama writes a blog about issues of importance to her, and as it happens, to us. She’s a passionate libertarian and writes with a strong sense of research to get it right. Getting it right is important and her writing is too. Give her a read, sign up for her newsletter.
Scott Horton, of Fool’s Errand fame, is also the editorial director at Antiwar.com. Foreign policy is an area many people assume is going well. Well, that’s just flat out not so. A great many horrors happen and the MSM never peeps a word. Antiwar.com and the “citizen journalist” ends that silence.
