Tailgating For The Serious Fans

The Heisman Trophy

B1G and ACC Baby!

Brats and brews and friends and foes.  Get your grill on and get the game started.

College football has started.

Go Blue!  Go Noles!

Yeah, my partisan shows.

But, like all fans, I want my team to win and I want the beer and the beef and the bounty to be plentiful.

Those are excellent all the time, and I keep jars of the onion dip on hand always.

Tailgating is, to me, as much a state of mind as it is an activity.  Happily, to do tailgating well, one need not have a tailgate.  Whew!  I do have a grillSnowy grill waiting for pregame. and can make my own dandy garlic sausage, but you don’t have to (although, please, feel free.  It’s worth the time) make your own.

Homemade English Ale. Yum!Of course, the proper beverage is a beer.  As with the dips and the sausage, you can make your own, but not in time for next weekend.  A good idea for the National Championship game, to be sure.  Since beer is best with friends, get the subscription pack of small artisan beers.  Beats the grocery store selection by 100 yards.

If making just isn’t gonna happen, that is no reason an excellent tailgate cannot happen.

Grilling means meat.

But, it can also mean seafood.

You might need a grill.  Charcoal is good.  Wood charcoal better.  But, sometimes the mess and the smoke and the fire is more than one can take.  How about a tech solution to an age old problem?  Same charcoal flavor without the hassle.

And gear.  Gotta have gear.  Flags and shirts and hats.  Team pride is important.
